We love Barbecue. I mean, really love barbecue. So you can imagine our excitement when one of our favorite client's called us up to help out with a brand activation at American Royal in Kansas City!
American Royal is not only a fierce competition for the king (or queen) of barbecue, its also a two day festival full of fun, music, and of course, delicious food! For this festival we teamed up with the the experiential marketing coordinators for Cabo Wabo Tequila to create a fun photo op. Once our creative team discussed the details of the event, this evolved into more of a "video op" instead. Utilizing our Boomarray Camera Slider to produce a 3D style video, we captured festival goers as they gathered round a monumentally sized smoker. Cabo Wabo brought this massive smoker and it made a creative backdrop for our video booth area.
Our Booth was set up in the middle of Cabo Wabo's amazing festival party and we even had a few BBQ celebs swing by to celebrate with us. Of course this VIP list included Myron Mixon! We partied until well after the sun went down and people kept on coming by to get their shot with the Cabo Wabo smoker. Our team shared out hundreds of videos on social media channels, instantly with our branded sharing stations, and ate nearly the same in barbecue. We love taking brand experiences to the next level and I think I can safely say, at this event we did just that!
