Our team has long been entrenched in the video-game events world. Because of this we have been able to travel the globe building marketing experiences for many conventions like E3, PAX, GamesCom, and most recently San Diego Comic Con.
In Southern California, we partnered with XBOX, Warner Brothers, and Shadow of War to produce an epic video experience for the pop-cultured masses. To stand out in the experiential marketing world, they even employed a massive towering dragon that attendees could ride!
While this activation was technically born out of a simple GIF booth, we transformed it to a cinematic Video Booth, to give it the truly legendary output this experience deserved. Our creative team worked with the studios to help sculpt their vision and create a unique brand experience. Four static poses carefully compiled in to a video with custom graphics. The creative team here at Something Clever took an ordinary dragon on a showroom floor, and turned it into a fire breathing beast from middle earth! Attendees were surprised when they made their way to the social sharing stations, to find that they were in fact riding a dragon through the embers and smoke.
It was fantastic watching the social channels line up with everyone’s videos that used our hashtag #shadowofwar. Instagram was by far the most popular social outlet during Comic Con International, followed closely by Facebook.
